Working With an Administrative Virtual Personal Assistant

One of the things that struck me as most interesting and most unusual is the high demand nowadays in hiring a Virtual Assistant (VA).

Hiring a "Virtual Assistant" is having a remote administrative help who:

1. They work distantly to which all your communication will be either online or through the phone, with the possibility that you may never meet your VA in person even if you work with them for years.

2. They're worldwide. That is, they don't live and work in the same state or country as you.

Why is there a need to hire a Virtual Assistant?
Hiring a Virtual Assistant is about allowing someone to take care of repetitive things that allow you to have a free time to focus on the things that may increase my effectiveness in my field of work.
1) What do you have to understand about hiring a virtual assistant to integrate into your work routine?
It is important to reflect through your goal so that you can determine if it their purpose to you and your business. If your need to use that extra time get more workloads done, you are getting your “priorities” done.
2) What’s a virtual assistant for?

Having a busy pile up work load, home schedules and social gatherings that needed to be attended to combined with the annual holiday rush, and this question seems to answer itself. So, what would you have an administrative assistant do for you? Here are a few ideas for both personal and work-related tasks:

• Social Network Management (Facebook, Twitter)
• Bookmarking
• Advertising
• Keyword Research
• Lead Generation
• Traffic Management
• Video Disposal Tool
• Email Disposal
• Articles
• Audio Typing
• Business Administration
• Business Plans
• Conventions
• Copy Typing
• Correspondence
• Customer Services
• Editor
• Email Administration
• Event Management
• Office Management
• Payroll
• Personal Administration
• Personal Assistant
• Presentations
• Purchasing
• Research
• Resumes / CVs
• Secretarial Services
• Spreadsheet Design
• Travel Plans
• Event Planning
• Presentations
• Update Address/Contact List
• Birthday/holiday gift buying
• Market research
• Online marketing
• Set and cancel appointments
• Answer incoming calls
• Type and send letters or contracts
• Make travel arrangements
• Call for quotes
• Link Building
• Client Support
• Internet Research
• Project management

3) How would you communicate and define the task you want your VA to accomplish?

Having knowledge and identifying their different skills set comes with each Virtual Assistant. This will help you determine the qualifications that your VA should have.

4) How can you be an effective administrator towards given tasks?

Note down down exactly what you want your VA to bring about. Then, think through the steps that you would take to achieve an output. Another important element is time allocation. Determine the amount of time the task should take and set multiple milestones to make sure the project is heading in the right direction.

5) Remember the reason as to “Why” you hired one.

You hired a VA to give yourself a break, enabling you to spend it with your family aside from focusing on growing your business.

6) How should you institute a healthy workflow environment?

Do you expect your VA to be available at certain hours of the day, every day? Can they work on longer tasks? Set expectations for when you want your VA to be online and encourage them to handle the manner of communication you prefer. Assimilate faster communication system into your workflow. However, for longer projects, written instructions are better so your VA can reference it.

7) How should you designate your VA depending on their league of expertise?

You may have a range of tasks that require different skill sets. Find out what your VA can accomplish so you may assign them to higher level tasks that require some technical skills, and choose to hire a lower cost VA to do the data entry work.

8) Provide instructions that are clear to comprehend.

Upon giving instructions, assume nothing and be as specific as possible with the requirements that you need. Do not assume that your VA will be able to assume anything. Many of these Virtual Assistants work on many types of tasks across all industries, so unless you hired a specialized VA, don't assume they can fill in tasks that are not within their forte of expertise.

9) Why is there a need to delegate task and be sure that your VA validates and identifies your task requirements?

You have to be verified that your VA understands the goals of the project and the given instructions before accomplishing it. Through upfront verification, the chances of your VA wasting time for doing the wrong thing can be evaded. Don’t forget to always update instructions to streamline the task and expect a two to three times more time allocation for the task.

10) Outsourcing SAVES you a LOT

Experienced business owners will often take the long-view since outsourcing work frees them up to accomplish higher work profit for a much reasonable cost. Always take the long-term benefits in mind.

Virtual Outsourcing Philippines : Online Business Investment

A lot of individuals have been considering an online investment as it rakes in a big amount of money based on what they have heard or what they’ve read from either blogs or forums. Thus, they begin talking about this really big “plan” that they have in mind and assume of being the most sought after online entrepreneur just as what one of those training videos online inspired them to be.

There are 3 great myths that you should put to consideration by those that pitch their opportunity to you...

1. Signing up for their offer will make you rich
2. Having you own website will bring frenzy of prospects
3. They'll help you bring visitors to your sites -- THEY WON'T

Most newbies who venture into online marketing thinks, “$10 for a domain with a lot of online freebies? Now that’s breathtaking, let’s get it on!”
Next, reality comes in where they are confronted with hosting fees and will need to pre-pay for two years in order to lock in that great price of $5.50/mo., So, they go ahead and give it up on the $100-$200 to set up their hosting.

Now that all is set with that little sacrifice of their $200, they begin to wonder if all this web talk is all it’s crazed up to be. So, they try to check out for some really cool websites, study the feasibility of it, ranking, keyword listing and all the necessary online tools to keep up with their new investment.

Unfortunately, they get hit with an overwhelming amount of tools, designs, plug-ins and the work force necessary to a lot more while browsing and getting acquainted with the World Wide Web that they really are now even wanting for more as they go dreamy of it while computing their possible income within a month’s time, “Shouldn’t cost too much, right? After all, we can possibly have one for another $300, ayt?!”

And then BAM! They get a blow with the reality that all of these cool sites that topped on the Alexa rankings while being kept at awe on how so much traffic these sites generate and what they make in a month’s time would cost them more than $5000 to start up with, hence, they begin rejecting the idea in total denial since they already paid for fees that were already hard-hitting to put away. After all, some guru just mentioned that getting to the first page of Google is just what matters most – without really thinking that you need to consider conversion as well.

Most online investors have a concrete, business-based reason for putting up their site and hiring the most qualified team for them as far as lusting for a website they just saw or hearing from some testimony that they’re raking in a big amount of money is concerned. As a consequence, there have been no exceptions to this rule. Most entrepreneurs use their site to either sell a product, build a subscription list for marketing purposes and building links to increase exposure to help with their conversion rates putting in high priority on search engine optimization.

From which, a team of qualified professionals are hired.

• Web Developer
• Graphic Designer
• Virtual Assistants
• Search Engine Optimizers
• Lead Generating Assistants
• Link Builders
• Article Writers
• Customer Service Relations Assistants
• Outbound Sellers
• Video/Audio Editor

One must also consider that tools are being used for the application of these that caused investment on the side of their virtual employees. Lest if you want to provide the materials and insist on paying less or put into consideration the manual application of these which in the long run has taken a hefty amount of your target time wasted. You should understand that building your online business doesn’t happen overnight. It takes a lot of application of all the necessary strategies you know to materialize it.

It would be factual to consider that online marketing will really be only open to the following people:

* Those with a plan
* Those with a lot of money

One can argue with it, but it’s a definite fact. Professional blogs, websites and forums are luxury items. Let’s put it this way: plenty of businesses that deals with home renovation and enhancement would buy eye-catching items for consumers to desire and have them in their homes in their catalogs and display, but only a certain few patrons with a big hard plan to renovate who have money to splurge would ever actually buy one.

Everybody wants a killer website that generates traffic after seeing one that they lust over. Everybody wants to have the right keywords against their competitors and make good in the search engines. Problem is, nobody wants to invest in consideration of its cost. Don't hesitate to pay top dollar for the best team you can ever have. If you need people with solid experience, be prepared to pay them what they are worth.

Why Are Freelancers Expensive Compared to Outsourcing Companies

One must wonder why freelancers are far more costly compared to getting one from an outsourcing company in the Philippines when it practically is third world and everything is expected to be cheaper than the usual. This is one of the few mistakes that most clients do not understand.

Most freelancers settle with a 1mbps speed for most basic work that doesn't need much software, but for most freelancers that use quite a number of software all together which requires more speed usage a higher internet speed would be needed. What actually happens often is that, a 1mbps subscription doesn't actually run exactly as what it has promised to most subscribers.

Are Freelancers More Expensive?

Most clients are often taken aback as soon as they find out the hourly rates of a freelance worker and insist on the possibility of getting a cheaper pay in other online companies providing outsourcing services.

Freelancers Aren’t Actually More Expensive

It is necessary to inform clients why freelancers are cheaper compared to employees putting an emphasis to the fact that employers necessarily have to pay for insurance, employment taxes and all sorts of other expenses for the privilege of a wage earner.

In most cases, companies are eliminating employees in favor of freelancers in order to cut costs these days and getting the actual value of their money’s worth. Not to mention the fact that freelancers provide their own equipment and internet connection.

Aside from these, most employers nowadays have been considering freelancers based on things they find out upon hiring an employee from an outsourcing company based on what has been earlier discussed on Outsourcing Outrage : Why Most Resort To Freelance Jobs.

Freelancers Saves Money

Freelancers may seem like they cost higher than they should compared to wage earners based on their hourly rates — but once an employer sees the justification of other involving factors, Freelancers are actually cheaper in getting their money’s worth.

Driving Targeted Traffic To Your Website

As a Webmaster or an Internet marketer you would be more interested in increasing your link popularity because it is only popular links draw more traffic. There are a number of methods available in the market that help you to drive targeted traffic. Who is not familiar with Pay-per-click (PPC)? This is by far the most popular method. Other popular methods are email marketing, mini websites, list building, newsletters, search engine optimization (SEO) and article marketing.

While most of these methods need money, SEO and article marketing are an exception, we could say. PPC requires you to shell out money from your pocket and soon you may run out of money. List building and email marketing take quite a longer time to yield positive results. Considering these factors, SEO and article submission are better methods.

Search Engine Optimization needs a good knowledge about link popularity. It is the most essential aspect of SEO. If you are familiar with it, you could populate a million web pages just in a single day!

If you own a website, you have probably spent a good amount of time on quality content, on-page optimization and link building tactics to get you a top ranking in Google. These are good efforts on your part, but search engines are using more scrutinizing measures upon page ranking and deciding on which sites are important.

For your website to get top rankings you could follow these tips:

1.Update/Maintain your wesite on a regular basis - increase link popularity (you could do this by the help of link exchanges), make sure your link exchanges are more specific or relevant to your niche website and other websites that are reputable in nature, use shorter and crisp descriptions, watch for keyword density, use keyword-based Meta titles, restrict use of tables and use more colorful images; present your site with specific, quality content; add interactive features such as comments, forums, etc., utilize proper html coding to enable the search process easier for search engine spiders.

2. Site submission – take more efforts in finding thematic portals and quality directories; some of them accept site submissions for review, too. For example you could try ‘keyword directory’ in Google.

3. Links - Authority websites offer higher quality content and hence pull a higher traffic. You could search for authority websites with high page rank (PR) and those which agree with placing a link from your website to their webpage. Free article directories like articlecity, Ezine, article dashboard articles are high PR web sites. These authority sites would link to your site.

Do you see the advantage of having relevant content to match your link and keywords or key phrases you are targeting? Links to these sites would get you a higher evaluation for your web page and higher Page Rank (PR).

Many people are using article directories and article submission software in order to increase their link popularity. Link popularity would get you more traffic and more targeted customers means more sales and more money.

4 Basic Principles Of Internet Marketing To Generate Web Income

Are you new to Internet marketing? Have you been around for quite a while? Whichever category you belong to, you could use these four basic principles mentioned here to help you generate income from the web.

At the outset, you should develop a practical sense about making money online. You should know that you couldn’t generate income online overnight. It takes time to begin an Internet business, develop it and see positive results. Just like any other business, you need to have a determination to pursue your efforts until all your efforts pay off.

What are the 4 basic principles to generate more web income?

Maintain a practical approach - Many people open up a website and start looking for instant profits. That is not how it works. You do not advertise in different places on the net, join those million free traffic exchange programs, sit back and wait for profits to pour in through the roof! It is not that easy at it may seems. To start with, you have to work hard to design a great website and promote your online home business on a daily basis. You have to increase your web presence step by step through various means such as word of mouth, advertisements, blogs, forums, etc. Only after you start generating a regular traffic to your site you could start to see results.

Prepare your site for Search engine optimization (SEO): It is not enough if you just design a website. You have to make your website appear on top searches for related keywords. This is done through effective SEO and it is free. You could do SEO by yourself or hire experts to search engine optimize your web site for you for a fee.

Encourage traffic to your site: In order to build your traffic or your opt-in list, it is advisable to offer free offline tools, free newsletter or e-books, etc. This would encourage your web site visitors to sign up for these; more importantly, you should place a good autoresponder to follow-up with your subscribers.

Do regular forum postings: Create your own Blog, sign up at different forum boards and submit your site to Web directories. Pages of your Blog could start being indexed by search engines and your posting may show up in free listings of search engines when people search for matching keywords. Adding quality content to your blog regularly could generate targeted traffic to your site continuously. Placing your domain URL in your signature on these postings would promote your business greatly. By submitting your web site to web directories, you could help build backlinks to your web site.

Publish free articles: you could publish articles free of cost. Write articles and publish them regularly by submitting to various article directories. This helps to weave your backlinks and generate more traffic to your site. Make it a practice to add your resource box to your articles, where you would introduce yourself to your audience and most importantly include your domain URL of your web site. Good quality content would attract a lot more traffic to your site.

If you practice the above principles, diligently and consistently, your online business would flourish soon and start generating online income for you.

4 Essential Reasons Why Participate In Online Forum

Many businesses are choosing forums as an avenue to promote their Internet business. Posting on forums ignites extra traffic to your website thus they serve as a great place to boost your business. This is a well-known reason for posting in online forums. However, there are 4 other reasons to choose forums for your Internet business marketing promotions.

1.When you participate in forum discussions by asking questions or answering another user, you exhibit your knowledge in your field. This makes a good opinion among other participants. If your answer is good, they get interested in browsing your site to know more about your web site. Trust leads to more visits to your page. Your interactions and communication with other members gets you in their good books—you are building reputation. You may even get to know each other on a more personal level or stage. When they get to know you, they develop trust and this lets them purchase products from you rather than any one else. Basically, if trust is developed, they click on your link and you thus create substantial traffic to your site!

2. It would be a brilliant move to get indexed on major search engines. Major search engines easily index active discussion or conversation boards. If you index with these search engines, you have a higher opportunity of having your posts in these major search engines, which in turn would bring in more traffic when you participate actively in the discussions in these forums.

3.Discussions, conversation are usually archived by forum owners for future reference. This way your post would also most likely be saved. Some times when individuals go into discussion forums and read your archived discussions, they may find an answer to what they are searching for. This is another good reason to participate in forums. Those who find answers via your posts may hit on your topic and related links and you would get more hits.

4.These days lots of individuals sell their knowledge through e-books. You could gather a lot of information from these forums and write a book. Begin saving your posts and compile them into an e-book. You could either sell these ebook or give them for free to your visitors.

Forums serve as a portal where you could learn relevant information about your market by interacting with your target visitors. This certainly helps you to market your products or services more effectively.

We could conclude that forum boards in general helps you meet a highly targeted group of individuals who are more interested and more likely to buy your products and services. Targeted visitors prove to be leads of higher quality where you get more hits to your site and more business.

Social Sites+Marketing Strategy=Money

A lot of business individuals are aware of the significance of search engine optimization and this is one of the reasons why there is an exponential growth on the number of people who turn to SEO services as part of their business solutions. But today, there is another emerging strategy that these people are taking in and that is the use of social sites or social networking.

This trend seems to continue in the years to come according to a number of experts since turning to this business alternative opens better opportunity for them. Social networking for business promotion is creating a huge buzz today. In fact, according to some Internet marketing experts, the number of social sites users surpassed the quantity of individuals who used email in connecting people in 2008. And, that is cited to continue this year and the years to come.

Facebook, Friendster, Myspace, Twitter are just some example of social sites who have been successful in just a short-span of time.

One clear factor that significantly contributes to the growth of social sites is their platforms. User friendly, easy navigation of social platform make more and more people stick to it including those who are there not just for socialization but for business as well.

Because business individuals understand the potential of social sites to target their market, they are now penetrating the social networking sites for products and services promotion. That is why social sites is also known as business networking sites. Marketing through social sites is now a phenomenon.

Following the growth of social sites users is the growth of social network building service. This pertains to those individuals who are offering a service of building a social network for you. Many are actually availing to this particularly those business individuals who do not have a luxurious time to build their social networks and yet are needing it for business growth. Yes, they recognize that having their own social network in their chosen niche gives them a market advantage.

As for my final note, I would say, if you are in online business who want to generate more income—of course, seo is still there—better try to build your own social network with these social sites. You can do it on your own or hire people who can do that for you, in case you have no time. Strike while the iron is hot.--Roy

Link Building With Effective Results

When it comes to Search Engine Optimization, we need to consider some important catalysts for its success and one these is the contribution of link building. So, we will focus on it in this discussion.

Link building, usually described as the process of weaving links in the internet, is one aspect of search engine optimization that can turn out to be a very crucial factor for either the success or failure of your website or online business you are trying to optimize. This can make or break your business when you are not fully aware of its fundamentals.

The fundamentals of link building usually include manual process of weaving links most especially when it comes to inbound links. Such a process makes many to be not that interested in doing it—they find it laborious, time, and effort-consuming task. But as I have said, this is an important foundation for site optimization—it needs to be done if you really want to make a reach to a wider market online.

If you are one of these individuals who find link building laborious and time consuming but really need it for site optimization—and you have no time for it to have this done by yourself—then why not consider hiring a third party to work it for you? If you decide so, you can consider outsourcing a link building service. There are lots of IT-outsourcing service companies that can be found in the Internet which you can avail at a reasonable cost. It is important to note, however, that you need to be careful in taking this as there are might also lots of outsourcing scams flooding the Internet arena—know the company better before availing.

A good link building service will know all of this information and be able to handle it with no problem. However, if you ask how the link building service plans on handling your website and you don’t hear anything about linking to more than just your main page of your website and nothing is discussed about the quality of the sites you will be linked to then you need to find another link building service.

An effective link building service provider understands fundamentals of link building and these must be discussed with you in one way or the other. It must be capable of even explaining to the client (you) the strategies it implements for your website. If this company is not able to do that, better find other service provider before you lose a significant amount.

You can also determine the effectiveness of the strategies your link builder provider implements by knowing the performance of your site in search engine indexing and ranking. At a particular keyword ( usually a phrase that describes or relates to your business website) you site must rank on the first 3 pages of search engines when a query is done. Beyond that, the link building strategy applied to your site is not that effective.

Lastly, a reputable link building service provider can increase your site's conversion rate ( this is of course, considering other contributory factors). Conversion rate pertains to the quantity of site visits converted into sales.--Roy Van

Services You Can Outsource In The Philippines

As what I have discussed in my previous post, there are more and more businesses and companies who turn to outsourcing in the Philippines as an alternative to hiring a regular office employees. But what are the tasks that these clients outsource?

Some tasks that can be accomplished through outsourcing in the Philippines are the following:

* Content Writing--most especially when you are in online business, there is a need for you to have a constant promotion to better introduce your products and/or services in the market. Nothing can best do this but through Search Engine Optimization and this can be effectively provided by content writers.

* Link building--to make your business website become optimized in the eyes of search engine, you need to tailor relevant links that point to your site. This gives a substantial contribution for your site become more authoritative which is necessary to get a higher ranking in the search engines when queries are done. You need to remember that content and links are the most considered criteria for authority.

* Web designing and administration--when you have a business website, it does not mean you just leave it as it is after its launching. Why Outsource A Home-Based Assistant

We have heard a lot of arguments and inadequacies with working with home-based assistants and comparing them to company based employees that running them down to the very last drop of it would simply add up to further arguments as to which comes best.

Let me instead give you the benefits of working with a home-based assistant.

Having a home-based assistant would come handy. They can be reachable any time and their time is often flexible than the usual. They are like on-call doctors who are ready to assist you anytime.

To most clients, they prefer having a home-based assistant over someone who’s working in an office for a lot of reasons aside from flexibility. One of these is the fact that, they get to have a personal supervision of their accounts and having their way instead of going through a lot of business protocols when they simply are in need of an output. Another benefit of having a home-based assistant is the privilege of not being required to pay any setup costs since the basic equipment, which is either a laptop or a desktop (which often comes with the best specifications compared to company businesses) is already available for usage coming from the assistants themselves. On the other hand, just as most typical outsourcing company would require - the need to provide the appropriate software to enable the production still comes as a demand to either of both. So, why spend more when either of both will still need further setup expenses when a home-based assistant can cut it on the budget?

The quality of work would vary in many ways though and it will always be a fact that either of both, there would always be a bad egg in a group… Further, home-based assistants has that urge to work harder to keep up to their integrity and produce a better output knowing that they can have their heads on the chopping list and can be replaced anytime.

Just a thought for you to think about….
